French Horn Rebellion say they sound like,'When a giant French horn breaks apart into a million pieces and collectively reorganizes itself in the 5th spatial dimensional realm' (or whatever that means); to me their music almost resemble MGMT . These Pop/Rock brotherly duo are Williamsburg Hipsters that create music that it very neo-disco. This is my favorite song from their album, Infinite Music of French Horn Rebellion, 'This Moment'.

Body Language
You know how you sometimes listen to an awesome band and wonder why they aren't mainstream yet, well this is one of those bands. Every song on their new album Social Studies will have you shaking some part of your body (its an impulse, you just cant help it I promise), that's probably why they named the band 'Body Language'. This Brooklyn based band has actually played with Passion Pit and has recently released a remix of Toro Y Moi's 'Timed Pleasure'. Keep this band on your Radar and you'll thank me later.

A Class Act Indeed !
When I went to watch Class Actress at The Hudson River park I do not think I fully appreciated their new album but after listening to it repeatedly this week, I have the lyrics of , 'Keep You' imprinted in my brain (not that I am complaining or anything). There is not one song on this album that I do not like and this is probably a first for me so I am pretty surprised. Class Actress is a Class Act indeed !!

Casio Kids
Casiokids have already grown leaps since when they formed in 2005. The first song I ever heard by them was 'Fot I Hose' and ever since I have been a big fan. This band is actually originally from Norway and most of the titles of their song are ... well in Norwegian. Their new album, 'Aabenbaringen Over Aaskammen' releases this October. Here is Det Haster from their new album and one of my personal favorites 'En Vill Hest'.

Picks of the week !
Summer is definitely the most exciting and busy time of the year; I personally have not had a moment to breathe, but when I get back home all I want to do is kick back and listen to some awesome music. These tunes have help me get by the last week. These bands are definitely up and coming and I would suggest listening to some of their other song. So here it is; the top picks for the week!

Gardens and VIlla
Gardens and VIlla has been around the block since 2008, but have recently made a splash with their single, 'Black Hills'. This band makes music that is both laid back and relaxed; it reminds you of a typical day in California . I think the video for 'Black Hills' is both interesting and hilarious and I think you will find the same. This is 'Black Hills'....

Polarsets
Polarsets is one band that I think is definitely going to grow pretty quickly, like band 'Foster The People'. I think this only because their tunes are very uptempo which is generally what gets the attention of the larger demographic. I love their songs Leave Argentina and Sunshine Eyes for that very same reason, they are so damn catchy!

French Films Anyone?
With so many new underground/indie bands around, we have so many new types of micro genres of indie rock that are being brought about. I just happened to stumble upon French films whilst listening to my other favorite bands and let me tell you I think they are a breath of fresh air! They have a very indie pop/new wave sound about them that I truly enjoy. Their music is happy and uptempo which is , let me tell you, great for a hot summer day. So here is French Films with 'Take you With Me'.
